About Me
I love to learn and expand my knowledge so I can make a positive impact on my clients’ health, my friends and family. I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (R.H.N.) with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN), a recognized leader in Natural Nutrition across Canada. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from the University of Toronto. To expand my holistic approach, I am currently working towards my Masters Herbalist Diploma with Wild Rose College of Herbal Medicine. Last year as a herbal apprentice I gained herbal making, formulation and clinical knowledge.
My passion for health and helping others led me to a General Manager position at Goodlife Fitness for 5 years where I helped members and staff realize their potential and achieve their health and fitness goals.
I have taught nutrition classes at a health food store and enjoy working one-on-one with clients to educate them about food and supplements, teach them about healthy eating, and support them through their development of lifelong habits for nutritional success!
Food and herbs provide an amazing source of healing for our mind and bodies. Working with clients, I love that I can combine my knowledge of coaching, nutrition, anatomy, herbs and supplements with my passion for helping others in order to support them in becoming their healthiest selves!
My Story
My journey to becoming a R.H.N began with a life-changing diagnosis of Hashimoto’s – an autoimmune disorder. Since I was a teenager I had suffered with a long list of digestive, metabolic, immune, skin and hormonal issues. Dissatisfied with my doctor’s recommendation to just take medication, I was determined to get to the root cause of my symptoms and health issues. After seeing a naturopath I began a long journey of making changes to how my body was nourished and gained back my health. I have since reversed my symptoms and been in remission for several years!
My health crisis motivated me more than ever to share with others the amazing power of food. Wanting to expand on my knowledge from school, I worked at a health food store to learn more about herbs and supplements. Working to help others achieve their health and nutrition goals brings me such joy and I want to share the gift of health with as many people as possible!
I know that change isn't easy, I have been there. Working 60 hours per week while making time for shopping and cooking is an adjustment, but it is very possible. (Pssst.. If you have leftovers - you meal prepped)
Changing your environment and daily routines can help you get the proper nourishment needed to restore the body and mind and provide you with the fuel to thrive! Using my unique and individualized approach to health and wellness I provide knowledge, accountability, guidance, and recommendations based on the best available research in the area of nutrition.
My Values: Diligence, Professional, Comprehensive, Integrity, Passionate, Dedicated
